Some performances may include music, dialogue, or lyrics in languages other than English. When applicable, productions may include projected captions, translations, or program notes to help audiences follow along.
Many productions also provide synopses, program guides, or pre-show talks to help you learn more about the story, artists, or themes before the performance begins.
We encourage guests to visit the event page ahead of time for details about the production and any audience guides that may be available.
Audience applause is always appreciated! A good rule of thumb is to follow the lead of fellow audience members. Applause is common at the end of musical pieces, scenes, or performances, and especially during the performers’ bows.
The most important thing to remember is that your enthusiasm and appreciation help create a vibrant live arts experience for everyone.
There is no standard dress code for most TFAA events. Some guests enjoy dressing up for a special night out, while others prefer a more casual style. We encourage guests to wear whatever makes them comfortable and ready to enjoy the arts.
Occasionally, TFAA hosts formal or semi-formal events, such as galas, special performances, or fundraising celebrations. When an event has a recommended dress style, it will be clearly noted on the event page and in ticket information so guests can plan accordingly.
Photography, video recording, and audio recording are generally not permitted during performances, as they can be distracting to performers and other guests.
However, guests are welcome to take photos before the performance, during intermission, or after the event, unless otherwise noted.
We love seeing our audiences enjoying the arts! If you share photos on social media, feel free to tag TFAA.
We recommend arriving 20–30 minutes before the event begins. This allows time for parking, check-in, finding your seat, and enjoying the atmosphere before the program starts.
Some events may include pre-show activities, such as discussions, introductions, or educational presentations, as well as post-show talkbacks, meet-the-artist opportunities, or receptions. When these additional experiences are part of the event, the schedule and recommended arrival time will be clearly listed on the event page and in your ticket information.
Arriving a little early ensures you won’t miss any part of the experience.
When possible, TFAA will provide event reminders or “Know Before You Go” information through email or on the event webpage. This information may include details about the venue, parking, accessibility, and event timing.
TFAA volunteers and staff are available to help throughout the event. If you have questions about the performance, the venue, or nearby amenities, please feel free to ask.
We’re happy to assist and want to ensure that your experience with TFAA is enjoyable and memorable.
Children are welcome at many TFAA events. However, some performances may be better suited for older audiences depending on the content or length of the program.
We encourage parents and guardians to review the event description when purchasing tickets. If you have questions about whether a performance is appropriate for children, please feel free to contact us for guidance.
Concessions may be available at select performances and special events depending on the venue. These may include beverages, light snacks, or refreshments.
When events take place at the TFAA Arts Center, concessions and refreshments may be offered in designated lobby or gathering areas before the performance and during intermission. For certain events, beer, wine, and spirits may also be available, along with popcorn and other snacks.
Availability may vary by event and will be noted in event details when applicable.
If an event must be cancelled or rescheduled due to weather, artist availability, or unforeseen circumstances, ticket holders will be notified as soon as possible.
In most cases, guests will have the option to:
Exchange their tickets for a rescheduled performance
Receive a credit toward a future event
Request a refund when applicable
Specific policies may vary depending on the event and ticketing partner.
