Every division includes three performance and participation tiers — designed to meet artists where they are and grow with them.
Ages 13–18
Young Voices. Bold Futures.
Our teen tier — a launchpad for the next generation of artists. TFAA Next nurtures emerging talent through mentorship, hands-on experience, and performance opportunities in a supportive environment.
Ages 18+
Professional. Powerful. Unforgettable.
Our flagship tier — where bold storytelling meets professional-level production. MainStage is the heart of TFAA's season, featuring full-scale performances that push creative boundaries.
Ages 35+
Experienced. Inspired. Invaluable.
Our seasoned artist tier — honoring the depth, wisdom, and presence that comes with experience. Legacy celebrates performers whose artistry has been shaped by years of dedication.
Each division represents a unique art form — and each includes all three program tiers (Next, MainStage, Legacy) so every artist finds their place.
Stories that move us.
The beating heart of TFAA. From musicals and plays to dinner theatre and immersive experiences — Performing Arts brings stories to life on stage through acting, movement, and emotion.
Art that inspires.
Where imagination meets the canvas. Visual Arts encompasses painting, sculpture, photography, digital art, and more — giving artists a platform to create and exhibit work that sparks conversation.
Sounds that connect.
From solo performances to full ensembles, the Music division celebrates the universal language that brings people together. Vocal, instrumental, and everything in between.
Learning. Growing. Creating.
The foundation of everything we do. Education & Outreach brings arts access to the community through workshops, classes, school partnerships, and programs designed to inspire the next wave of creators.
A home for creativity.
The physical heart of TFAA — a 350-seat performing arts center currently under renovation. The Arts Center will serve as the hub for all divisions, housing performances, exhibitions, rehearsals, and community gatherings.

To be eligible for a stipend, performers must be legally authorized to work in the state of Ohio. Stipends and contracts are provided when applicable — not all roles are paid.
Pick a song that shows off your personality and fits the style of the show you're auditioning for — but don't sing a song from the show itself. Perform it a cappella (no backing track). Directors want to see you, not the "right" answer. Need help choosing? Reach out to Dani at d.hummelsass@thetfaa.org.
TFAA is committed to equity in casting. We encourage performers of all ethnicities, gender identities, abilities, and disabilities to audition. Our stage is stronger because of the diversity of voices that fill it.
Auditions are attended by the show's Director, Producer, and possibly TFAA board members. They're friendly and want to see you succeed!
Not all roles are paid, but stipends and contracts are provided when applicable. Stipend eligibility requires the ability to work in Ohio.
Reach out to Dani at d.hummelsass@thetfaa.org — she's happy to help you find the perfect piece!
Dress comfortably and be prepared for movement, especially for musical auditions. Avoid overly restrictive clothing. You want to look put-together but be able to move freely.
